If you've never taken professional portraits or if you've done this a million times, it never hurts to discuss the process.

Tell us about yourself

Fill out a Client Questionnaire or contact us directly.  We'll gather your contact information, the types of portraits you are looking for, when and where youd like to have the session, and any additional information to make this as smooth as possible.  That's the simple part.      

What type of portraits do you want?

We specialize in individual and family portraits.  We have experience with senior portraits, quincenerras, head shots and sports portraits.  If your vision doesn't fall convieniently into one of these categories, let's see what we can do to make it a reality.     

Setting a date

Evenings and weekends seem to be the prefference for most clients.  We'll work with you to schedule the date and time that best works for your schedule.

Things to consider

Location is a huge factor in planning a portrait session.  Often, our clients already have somewhere special in mind.  Other times, they may have an theme, but no location.  We have plenty of ideas for beautiful country backgrounds, urban environments, and we can even work indoors at a location that means something to you.    

The time of day has a lot to do with the final product as well.  On a clear and sunny day, the light can change dramatically over the course of a hour long session.  Typically, the light immediately after sunrise and just before sunset - called the Golden Hour - provides the most flattering light for portraits.  But even the light before sunrise or after sunset - the Blue Hour - has a beautiful quality to it.  If you prefer a time during the day, the sun will be well above the horizon, and typically casts strong shadows on a model.  There are plenty of techniques to
